OVERVIEW

JOB PURPOSE

 

The Dayforce Specialist will help design, build and configure to the LSO’s business requirements, prepare post go‐live processes, manage enhancements to ensure smooth operations, leverage Dayforce reporting tools, stay current on Dayforce features and updates, monitor the role access security and audit data integrity of the system.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a 4‐year Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, business, human resources management or a related discipline.
  • CHRP would be an asset.
  • Requires a minimum of 4‐5 years of related experience Dayforce implementations.
  • Requires a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of supervisory / leadership experience in coaching and developing others. 
  • HR Systems, Dayforce Training, Qualified Professional Program completion, HR Shared Services and HR Advisory Services and Payroll knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office Suite / 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • System Configuration, Quality Assurance, Project Management skills, advanced Excel.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Client/Customer Service Planning

  • Gathers requirements by identifying user needs with primary users being the HR Department, IT, Accounting and Finance as well as People Leaders and employees.
  • Works with Dayforce Partners or Dayforce Professional Services to implement new modules and features (e.g.,Onboarding, Recruitment, Performance Management, Position Management, Compensation Management, etc.).
  • Develops system processes aligned with business processes and integrates with the core HR information system (HRIS) (e.g., Organization Structure, Benefits, Payroll, workforce management (WFM), HRIS information and security, etc.) and ensures data integrity.

Client/Customer Service Delivery

  • Full cycle implementation‐completes Discovery Configuration, Go Live and Post Go Live.
  • Collect, design, document, build test and deploy implementations.
  • Supports the HRIS Administrators and clients in ad hoc reports and troubleshooting issues.
  • Designs and delivers training and user guides.
  • Prepares documentation of design and procedures for maintenance.
  • Prepares Imports, ensures thorough testing and documentation of Test Scripts by HRIS Administrators, and reviews accuracy and integrity of existing HRIS Procedures.
  • Delivers training to users.
  • Assess and review new releases and community information to keep current with application changes and new features.
  • Assesses LSO requirements relative to configurations and modules available. Executes the configuration in Test, reports results and findings, and subject to sign off, replicates configuration in Production environments in accordance with Dayforce Implementation Guides, Dayforce qualified professionals and in accordance with Dayforce Contract terms.

Team Membership

  • Contributes knowledge and experience to ensure delivery of timely and high quality services to employees and leaders.
  • Continuously reviews and improves work processes.
  • Acts as the primary contact for the HRIS, requiring full and current knowledge of all operational processes.

Financial Responsibility

  • Monitors and develops the HR systems to ensure professional services are effectively utilized, and project hours are applied in accordance with the project plan and budget.
  • Ensures HR data is in compliance with employment legislation and company policies as applicable.
  • Dayforce and company security requirements as well as privacy, employment legislation and internal policies and protocols.

Special Projects

  • Full cycle implementation.
  • Researches and benchmarks HRIS and related system best practices.
  • Provides specific recommendations and options to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and enhance utilization.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

The Law Society has introduced a Distributed Workforce Model to leverage flexibility and agility, and to maximize employee productivity and engagement. Work arrangements will be determined by role and departmental requirements. The working arrangement for this position has been classified as hybrid, where the employee will regularly flex their work location between home and office.
